Mrs. George HARSHBARGER died in the ME hospital in Indianapolis on Monday morning. Funeral services were held from the Ladoga Christian Church on Wednesday in charge of the pastor, Rev. Richard Moore, assisted by Rev. Herbert Doane of the Presbyterian Church. Eva Jane Harshbarger was the daughter of Corenlius and Keziah Montgomery CANINE and was born on the old homestead north of Waveland where the house burned some 20 years ago, Aug 2, 18861. She married Mr. Harshbarger Oct 20, 1881. He died Oct 16, 1935. Mrs. Harshbarger was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and was one of the most highly respected women in the Ladoga community. She was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church, the Local Order of Eastern Star, the Ladoga Music Study Club, the Daughter sof the American Revolution at Crawfordsville and was a charter member of the Literary Circle here. In addition, she was a gold star mother, a son, Everett having died in 1919 while in service of this country. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Squires of Whitesburg, Ky; a son, Earl Harshbarger, of Philadelphia; two brothers, Walter Canine of Ladoga and Leonard of Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Evadean Squires of Covington, ky; and James and Mary Jane Squires of Whitesburg, Ky and several nieces and nephews. - kbz

Mrs. Eva Canine Harshbarger, of Ladoga, was unable to attend the funeral of her father here last Friday. About 3 weeks ago she was seized with an attack of bleeding at the nose, and almost bled to death before the hemmorrhage was checked. She has been prostrated ever since.
